General Job Duties:

Assists the Compliance Associate in the day-to-day activities of the department, as well as special projects, as assigned.
Scans and saves confidential Compliance-related documents (Business Associate Agreements, audit results, payor correspondence, FOIA requests, etc.).
Assists Compliance Documentation Review team with reviewing customer and physician documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Assist Compliance Associate with state Medicaid provider enrollment applications.
Supports Compliance Associate with auditing customer files for completeness and accuracy in accordance with federal, state and payor rules and regulations.
Supports Compliance Associate with preparing for annual or new hire training.
Supports Compliance Associate with filing and grading training tests for all new hires.
Reviews, assesses and makes recommendations for process improvements, e.g. – documentation management, auditing processes, researching methods, etc.).

Internship details:

Three month or longer unpaid internship
Flexible hours in a business casual work environment
  Strong keyboarding skills and ability to create meaningful data reports and manipulate data using Microsoft Office software; proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word required
  Working towards or already received a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or related business area preferred; a combination of experience and education may be considered.
